Funeral Thirst
is a hardcore death metal band from the East Coast of New England. Formed in 2020 by old high school friends trying to create some heavy music.
Inspired by their collective love of The Black Dahlia Murder's early records sounds, Funeral Thirst expertly mixes elements of death metal, thrash, and hardcore, Funeral Thirst is for any fan of extreme metal. They've had three releases since their inception including “Galvanized in Blood”(2022), “DEMO 2025”(2025) and “Under A Blackened Sun” (2026).
Funeral Thirst's first release, "Galvanized In Blood" pulls influence from Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, and Entombed. It's punishing and groovy breakdowns, shredding solos, and ripping tremolo riffs mark as a solid entrance into the death metal scene.
Their follow up EP, “Demo 2025” sets out to identify with their audience on a more personal level, focusing more on themes of mental health, addictions, and personal hardships. “DEMO 2025” experiments further with hardcore and thrash elements while keeping true to the band's death metal roots.
Funeral Thirst's current release, “Under A Blackened Sun” highlights a black metal sound, blended with two step hardcore riffs. Showcasing heart pumping riffs to soaring leads, "Under A Blackened Sun" shows the band's dedication to their influences.
Since their first show in 2023, Funeral Thirst has been active in the local metal scene playing shows in NH, MA, CT and ME. Performing with bands such as Marshall Law, Gutted Twice, Cytokine, No More Youth, Dark Wound, Ingrate, Moral Injury and many more.
